Facebook as a short candidate and other must-reads

Here are some very provocative articles that every investor and trader should be thinking about today.

Can Apple Continue Its Parabolic Rise? and my Time to panic about Apple’s parabolic chart? – Apple’s AAPL been my biggest position for a long time but I do think I’m probably going to trim some of it in the next few sessions as its oversized in my personal portfolio now.

Apple to Sell ‘Cheap’ iPad to Combat Android Tablets: Report – I totally agree and sure do think that’s smart on Apple’s part.

Substantial Growth in Ads Is on the Way to Facebook– I’m sick of Facebook. And I hate the new timeline layouts that make any friend’s page I actually bother to visit look like an old fashioned MySpace personal page. I hope Facebook comes public with a $150 or $200 billion market cap so I can short it.

On Israel and Iran – Bruce thinks war is inevitable.

Gen. McCaffrey privately briefs NBC execs on war with Iran – With the warmongering on the TV stations and in the mainstream national newspapers, I’m worried he’s right.

U.S. Stocks Advance Amid Bank Rally -The stock markets sure are looking past the Iran-war possibility for now, aren’t they?

Far more cesium released from Kukashima than previously believed – Speaking of potential Black Swans that could hit the market in 2012, are we sure that everything in Japan is safe?

Bank of America Running Debit Card System for Tax Returns in South Carolina – I stepped away from a bunch of my bank shorts in the last couple months in large part because the banks just keep on figuring out new ways to collude with your friendly neighborhood Republican/Democrat Regime to take money out of taxpayer’s pockets. This outrageous tax return set up in SC is explicit in its taking the money out of the taxpayer’s pockets in this case. I’d be pissed if I lived in South Carolina and had to use Bank of America to get my tax refund and had to pay Bank of America BAC any fees at all along the way.  Does BofA get the social security number of every South Carolinian who gets a tax refund whether you want them to have it or not?

Bailout Ingrate Bank of America to Impose Monthly Fees on Many “Basic” Checking Account Customers – Similar topic to the above link, but as Yves says in her article: ” “. Look, as I’ve said before get JP Morgan JPM and Goldman Sachs GS completely off of welfare and then they can do whatever they want. As long as they’re using taxpayer money to fund their profits though, I said make banking a utility and regulate its profits as such. You choose BofA and Citi C et al — no taxpayer subsidies of any sort or we regulate your profits since you’re using taxpayer money to make them.

Why is Ron Paul’s Superpac Headquartered in Mitt Romney’s Backyard? – I’ve supported Ron Paul with words here on my blog, but this makes me question everything I thought about him. What’s he doing with a SuperPac at all anyway? Ugh.
