A few of you asked what I meant when I wrote earlier that I am throwing a yellow flag about the economy and the markets here. Let me stick with the football analogy.

Apple, Google, Cirrus, so many other decent/strong reports in tech and other places have been crushed and most reports in all of corporate America have been soft and guidance even worse. A yellow flag means a 10-yard penalty for holding against the bulls and they now are sitting at 2nd and 18 instead of 2nd and 8. The bulls still have the overall momentum and lead the score by a bunch, but did you see Peyton Manning’s Broncos’ comeback a couple week’s ago on Monday Night Football? You never want to count your chickens before they hatch as my grandpa Willard used to say.
