How much do you think the average Mescalero Apache trusts the NSA?

I grew up with a lot of Mescalero Apache Indians, including a lot of Geronimo’s direct descendants who still proudly carry his last name, and I and spent many days and nights on the reservation mostly playing basketball with my native friends. A couple of my old friends from the tribe came over for steaks and beers last night and by the time we got done listening to AC/DC on my Scout II’s vintage McIntosh stereo while talking about the heartbreaking similarities between the Mescalero Tribal Council and the Republican Democrat Regime, it was late into the night.

The saddest part of the discussion was when we got to talking about just how many of our Apache friends and teammates from our own age group who are already passed. The Mescalero reservation used to be one of the wealthiest in the nation, not that that is a very high bar, as most reservations are in dire poverty.

One of the keys to Revolution Investing and to keeping sane in the markets is to spend time with people who trust and who are grounded in the real world that we live in. So many money managers, bankers and politicians these days more than ever spend their lives in gilded towers and they lose perspective on what matters and what really drives the movements of money and thereby the growth of the economy. Can you imagine the range of perspective I have had in the last year or so with having discussed economics, politics, banking and corruption with former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, with Libertarian figurehead Ron Paul, with you TradingWithCody subscribers and with Lariat Geronimo, whose family/tribe have been lied to, pillaged, raped and murdered by our nation’s government for centuries.

How much do you think the average Mescalero Apache trusts the NSA, the FBI, Homeland Security, the SEC, the Federal Reserve, and the rest of the US government to do the right thing with their secret surveillance, their bailouts, their geopolitical coups, their arming Al Queda and other “rebels” in the Middle East, and so on?

Perspective, eh?

With the markets already closed today for the holiday tomorrow and with Friday being a semi-holiday too, let’s postpone this week’s Live Q&A Chat til Monday next week at 4pm EST (and then we’ll do the regularly scheduled Weekly Live Q&A Chat on Wednesday at 2pm EST next week too).
